Labor Market Policy

Harold Stolper joined the Policy Research team as the Senior Economist focusing on labor market issues. Harold earned his PhD in economics and MPA in urban policy from Columbia University, where he was a Fellow for Columbia’s Committee on the Economics of Education. His research focuses on the determinants of income inequality. Recent research has demonstrated how access to home equity loans reinforces gaps in college access between homeowning and renting families. Harold has also worked as an Economist for the federal Department of Transportation, and as the Assistant Director for Research at the CUNY-based University Transportation Research Center.  He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs.
